Drink Water to Lose Weight

I knew thirst could masquerade as hunger… one more reason to keep hydrated but I also heard that drinking cold or chilled water could boost your metabolism. Drinking cold or chilled water for the purpose of raising your metabolism is called, Water-Induced Thermogenesis research.

  • Great advice Marc. I've talked about the calorie burning power of cold water on my site at http://www.buildleanmuscle.com/obesity.html and many times in my newsletter.

    You see a lot of articles talking about drinking water for a variety of good reasons but I rarely, if ever, see people talk about drinking cold water for burning more calories. Thanks for focusing on that aspect. And thanks for citing the study. I couldn't remember where I first came across this bit of information. Now I do. Keep up the great work.

  • Huuh this is so much important but so often neglected ! I do forced this habit in to my own routines and result was easy to see and feel .
