    I like to have 2 beers (bud light) with dinner. Is that amount having an affect on my fat burning? A couple personal trainers at my gym say anything more than 3 drinks will have a negative affect and that I am ok with the 2 beers. Your thoughts?

    24g and higher is what researchers saw the most minimal of effects. 1-2 beers with dinner is what I would consider to be a moderate amount of alcohol.

    That falls into the moderation category. In my experience, I don't see 1-2 bud lites creating any significant negative effects.

    In fact, drinking 1-2 beers every night is better than not drinking any at all and then binge drinking on the weekends.

    I'd agree that 3 drinks and higher goes beyond what most would consider a moderate amount of alcohol and you'd start to see some of the effects (on a chemical level) in regards to your health and fitness.

    Marc another good point about Beer. I read a book called Mens Vital health written by an English botanist about mens Hormones and how plants effect them. One thing he pointed out was that in nature Hops is 1) a known sedative but also 2) its the largest Estrogen producer among all Plants, the Estrogen that hops produces in the human body is Estradiol ( which is a female Estrogen that directly effects the Testes and the Free testosterone levels) So if this is true and after a ton of research I believe it is then Bodybuilders need to stay away from any Beer brewed with Hops or they will slow down the production of Testosterone in thier bodies.
    I believe this as men age and develop the hated Beer belly is the cause of this along with the reasons you point out. The purpose of Estrodial in the body is to control the levels of free test and it also signals the body to store fat away and where do people store fat mainly in the female its the hips, in men its the waist, hence after a few years of drinking a couple a day and further a few more years older and BAM you wake up one day with that dredded Beer Belly. No bodybuilder can maintain a hard quote six pack and drink alcohol period.
